The Bazooka Folding Bikes company are the creators of the Bazooka California Folding Beach Cruiser, a Kickstarter project.

What is the Bazooka folding Bikes company?              

The company from Vancouver, Canada formed in 2002 and started making folding bikes. In 2005 they created their first Folding Beach Cruisers. These bicycles were conventional in their chain and gearing systems.

Customers suggested that the folding bike could be improved by making it lighter, rustproof and having a better gearing system. After hearing about the desired adjustments, the company set about making these a reality with their Bazooka California model.

Folding bicycle features

Cycling, one of the main means of transport in the Netherlands, is not without its challenges.The Bazooka California Folding Beach Cruiser puts its focus on solving a few of these problems by means of the features it offers.

It has a better folding mechanism than the previous model, allowing it to be easily folded and unfolded. This saves space, as it can be conveniently stored away in a cupboard or corner as opposed to being locked up outside- less chance of it being stolen. Also, instead of a bike chain it uses a carbon belt drive. This has the advantage of not rusting, like conventional bike chains, and requiring less maintenance.

In addition to these features, the Bazooka California has an improved gearing system, namely a Shimano Nexus internal hub gearing system. Thich is more accurate, runs smoothly and requires less maintenance.

The Bazooka California Folding Beach Cruiser is not available yet, but will be shortly if the company reaches their Kickstarter target. They aim to deliver the bike to their backers in January 2018.
