Coronavirus: New patient total 503, another death

The RIVM (National Institute for Public Health and Environment) reports that 121 new people in the Netherlands have been tested positive for COVID-19, the illness that is caused by the new coronavirus. This means that the new total of infected people is 503. A fifth person has died; a 68-year-old man with previous health issues.

Current coronavirus situation in the Netherlands

Of the 503 people who are infected, 223 live in the province North Brabant, 66 in the province Utrecht, 57 in the province of South Holland and 48 in the province of Limburg.

Mayor Halsema of Amsterdam has stated that there are now 17 people infected with the new coronavirus in Amsterdam and surroundings. Eight of them live in the city, nine in surrounding areas.
