VU University Amsterdam (VU) and VU university medical centre (VUmc) today announced that their web-lectures, instruction video's and presentations are now available on iTunes U, a dedicated area within the iTunes Store.

With this initiative the VU and VUmc join universities like Oxford, Stanford and UCLA which provide educational knowledge available worldwide for free via iTunes U. The content of VU and VUmc fits in perfectly between the belief that the University represents a distinctive way of applying science and innovation VUmc by contributing to medical knowledge of tomorrow.

VU and VUmc are making more than 250 lectures, films and presentations from a wide-range of studies, including the school's science and medical departments, available worldwide on iTunes U. This content can be enjoyed by any iTunes user on their Mac or PC, iPhone, iPod touch or iPad.
