TU Delft ranked as the 13th best university in Europe

TU Delft has been ranked as the 13th-best university in Europe, according to the new QS European University Rankings for 2024. QS European Universities Ranking

For the first time, QS has created a dedicated ranking focusing on European universities. The ranking looks at 688 universities across the continent and can be sorted by European region, such as Western Europe, or Southern Europe. The ranking put the University of Oxford in first place, closely followed by ETH Zurich in Switzerland

The ranking rated universities in over 12 categories, including international student diversity, academic reputation, and sustainability, amongst others. The categories are not weighted equally, though, with academic reputation having the most significant impact on a university’s ranking.

TU Delft named among the top 20 European universities

TU Delft has been named among the 20 best European universities, just after ranking as one of the top 100 universities in the world according to the latest THE ranking. The university is recognised globally for its contribution to science and technology research and is home to around 20.000 students.

TU Delft was praised by the ranking for a number of reasons, specifically the university’s commitment to being more sustainable, as well as the ratio of international faculty and the university’s excellent international research network.

The other Dutch university that was included in the ranking was the University of Amsterdam (UvA), in 17th place. UvA was commended for its citations per faculty and international research network.
