This year marks the 8th edition of the Philips Innovation Award (PHIA), a nationwide student entrepreneur award for enterprising students with an innovative idea.

The PHIA competition is for and organised by students. During the several events surrounding the competition, entrepreneurship and innovation will be the central points of discussion. The goal is to give students the opportunity to develop their ideas and start their own businesses.

Are you a student with a good idea? Then consider participating in the First Pitch! Contest, by describing your idea as clearly as possible in 100 words. The 20 best ideas will each win 100 euros!

The judges will primarily focus on the innovativeness and feasibility of the idea.

The deadline for the competition is December 15.

You can upload your First Pitch! submission and find out about additional PHIA competitions and activities via the Innovation Award site.
