Research / Academic

This is a key role in training our students to be future financial managers and ethical and strategic business partners.

Your main tasks
As a thesis coach in the department of Accounting and Control, you play a key role in the last leg of our students' trajectory towards graduation. You'll join a team that teaches all aspects of accounting - all of them are potential thesis topics. They include financial analysis, valuation, performance measurement and incentives, decision making and investment decisions, reporting, ESGs, taxation, auditing, fraud and forensic accounting, accounting analytics, M&As and corporate governance, and non-financial performance.

Our team is passionate about sharing new knowledge and insights interactively with students and practitioners. Through our teaching and research, we create and disseminate state-of-the-art knowledge about how accounting information facilitates economically and socially sound business decisions. You will work in close cooperation with departmental colleagues.

In the final part of their one-year programme, master students write a thesis with academically and practically relevant insights to address questions that live amongst our stakeholders. Stakeholders come from the business community of accountants, controllers, financial advisors and managers.
