Financial Reporting Specialist - Insurance

  • Supporting the monthly and quarterly management accounts and annual statutory/regulatory financial statements and filings
  • Assist with the annual and interim external audit process
  • Maintaining the control environment for the financial records of the company, including continuous assessment of its effectiveness as the business grows and evolves
  • Work with Regulatory Reporting
  • Work together with different key function holders to understand and document data
  • Pro-actively recommending improvements to processes and procedures and involvement in the implementation
  • Create, improve, and automate reporting methods
  • Assisting with driving to completion ad hoc projects, in particular, Brexit reporting and processes
  • Assist with Tax filing preparation and liaison with tax specialists (CIT, VAT, IPT, Wage tax)


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accountancy, Finance or Business Economics
  • RA / Chartered accounting qualification is highly preferred
  • 3+ years experience in an insurance environment
  • Detailed understanding of financial reporting
  • Affinity with actuarial and financial data
  • Experience in automation, optimization and scheduling reports and adept queries
  • Strong analytic skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze significant amounts of data
  • Knowledge of and experience with reporting packages and databases (SQL etc)
  • Strong MS Office skills, mainly Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English
  • Solutions-oriented, flexible, structured, self-starter with a hands-on mentality
