Business Development Associate- Romanian

Romanian, English and Swedish, German and English, Polish and English, English and Dutch, English

The Business Development Associate is supportive of a broader M&A team based in Utrecht, Netherlands. Working can be done both at our offices in the Netherlands (preferred) or remotely from a location in Europe, if situated within Eastern standard time.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Initiate outbound prospecting calls, email and social media communication to identify and connect with new target companies in Romania
  • Visit trade shows and industry events in order to initiate contacts with prospective targets
  • Use Marketing and CRM data to build and maintain existing relationships with key stakeholders / decision makers
  • Follow up on outbound and inbound prospect activities in a timely manner
  • Conduct first line interactions with company (primarily by telephone and face to face in the future), in order to qualify potential targets
  • Document meetings/ interactions in form of notes, interactions and administer efforts in Salesforce (our CRM system)


- - Fluent in Romanian and English,
- Masters degree or equivalent working proficiency, preferably in Business Administration, Commercial Sciences and/ or Marketing
- At least more than 6 years’ experience in business development or enterprise sales roles
- Successful track record in enterprise software sales in the EU region
- Willingness to travel frequently, both domestically and on an international basis
- Able to work independently with clear targets, but not at the expense of the team effort
- Sense of humor, if none present, sarcasm will do
- Entrepreneurial mindset, committed to build an USD 100m revenue business from scratch
