As the Sous Chef, you are the eyes and ears of the Chef in the kitchen. You make sure that your team can work as efficiently as possible so they can deliver the best experience to the guests. Your job is to run the kitchen and create a healthy and safe work environment for your team members. Additionally, you work with the Chef and the F&B Manager on new menu items so you can keep surprising your guests.

The Sous Chef is one of the key members of the kitchen team. You are the right hand man of the Chef and you work with him to ensure that the F&B vision of the hotel is translated to what comes out of the kitchen. As an experienced Sous Chef you handle an influx of orders without any issue and deliver the best dished to your guests in a timely manner. In addition to running the daily operation in the kitchen, you are responsible for ordering all the ingredients and making sure that all the HACCP norms are abided by.

In short you are responsible for:


  • Running the daily operation in the kitchen;

  • Ordering from and negotiating with suppliers;

  • Ensuring the quality of dishes that are served to the guests;

  • Ensuring that ARBO and HACCP norms are abided by.

Along with a position in a great company known for their growth opportunities, you will be offered a salary between €2500 and €3000 gross per month based on a 38 hour workweek. Requirements:

As the perfect candidate for the role you recognize yourself in the following criteria:

* You have at least 2 years of relevant experience in the kitchen;
* You have experience with a wide ranges of cuisines and cooking techniques;
* You speak English fluently (Dutch is a plus);
* You are creative with ingredients and menu items;
* You are able keep calm under hectic circumstances;
