The weather service has forecast temperatures of between 20 and 30 degrees, with 27 degrees forecast for this evening in Munich. 20 litres of rain per square metre are expected to fall every hour, and wind speeds of up to 130 kilometres per hour are anticipated across Bavaria.

The DWD also warned that, during the hailstorm, hailstones may reach up to five centimetres in diameter. Exceptionally large stones could be as big as 10 centimetres in diameter.
As the night progresses, the stormy weather will move east to Czechia. Thursday will be calmer but nonetheless rainy across Bavaria, before stormy weather is forecast to return on Friday.
