Our client, an award-winning Australian company, is one of the top players within their field, and after almost 40 years down the road, they have a solid track of success stories and continue to grow as we are speaking. To support with the continuous growth of the company, our client is currently looking for a Territory Manager to join their team based in Wageningen. In this role, you will be responsible for increasing revenue and profit for the territories in Europe by being the main point of contact for customers with the goal of creating new business and delivering profit targets within the region. A big part of your role will also be to explore and secure new business opportunities, and you will be asked to travel frequently within Europe and occasionally to our client’s office in Australia.

In this role, you will:

  • Research prospects, cold call potential customers, and respond to incoming leads to increase client base
  • Develop business plans with prospective customers to facilitate business
  • Prepare and organise trials/demonstrations of our client’s technologies and products
  • Develop and nurture  long term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Negotiate the agreement with stakeholders, as well as drafting and review contracts and agreements
  • Actively be part of the various marketing activities such as trade shows/ seminars/ webinars and provide floor talks/presentations

For this role, we are looking for someone who:

  • Has a minimum of 5 years Sales and Account Management experience
  • Has an educational background within an engineering and/or science discipline  
  • Is fluent in English and Dutch
  • Has experience of dealing with different business cultures
  • Has a proven record of success in a sales role for large capital equipment desired
  • Has a valid driver’s license
  • Open and willing to travel within Europe as well as to Australia
