Sharing the stage
For the first time in history, Dutch National Opera and Dutch National Ballet will be sharing the stage in one big production! The tale they will bring to life is the famous love story Romeo and Juliet. Hector Berlioz has created a masterful French opera based on the strongest and most dramatic scenes of the original play, featuring singing soloists and a chorus.
Choreographer and director Sasha Waltz has added a corps de ballet with exquisite dance performances, making Roméo et Juliette a whirling mix of song and dance with roots in a timeless tale of drama and romance. The music is played by the famous Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Kazushi Ono. He is celebrated for his great musical mind and his work with, among others, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.
Please note, ticket competition winners are announced on the closing date. Each winner will receive one double ticket. Remember to check this page or your IamExpat inbox to see if you've been selected!
