Trump Up the Volume: Social Distancing Edition comedy show
Amsterdam is home to one of the most outstanding comedy venues in northern Europe. At Boom Chicago, Greg Shapiro and Pep Rosenfeld have been making people laugh for years and years. Now, the time has come for their first live streaming show.

Boom Chicago has carved out a reputation for itself, renowned as a venue for its original sketch shows, improvisational theatre, nifty comedy writing and its way of addressing Dutch and American current affairs and social issues. Since 2001, they have presented seven critically acclaimed political shows onstage at Boom Chicago.
Trump Up the Volume: Social Distancing Edition is the first live-streamed show from Boom Chicago and it’s taking place in three parts. On April 14, 16 and 18, tune in to the show at 8pm for an hour each night.

Boom Chicago is taking the measures outlined by Mark Rutte very seriously, to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. So, expect to see two guys keeping their distance from each other (at least 1,5 metres away from each other) on stage in front of an empty audience – this is the recipe for something truly hilarious.
There may be a pandemic going on around us and the US is currently the country with the most cases, but the US elections must continue nevertheless. This is all the more reason to give people a good laugh to cheer them up. Trump and his “alternative facts” are a hot topic too, not to mention his reaction to the coronavirus pandemic.
About the speakers
Alongside their work at Boom Chicago, Pep Rosenfeld has been nominated for an Emmy for his work on Saturday Night Live. Meanwhile, Greg Shapiro went viral as the voice of Donald Trump in the hilarious video "America First, Netherlands Second" (below) on Arjen Lubach’s video on his show Zondag met Lubach.
