TRACKS: Nora Fischer and Tony Roe
TRACKS is an engaging and unique way to get acquainted with classical music, bringing you powerful, dramatic hour-long concerts by world-class artists, followed by DJ-fuelled afterparties with cocktails. The intimate Recital Hall at Concertgebouw is the cosy venue where the magic happens. On February 1, soprano Nora Fischer and pianist Tony Roe take to the stage.
An unforgettable musical experience
Nora Fischer is a revelation. Her soprano voice has taken her around the globe, from London’s Barbican Centre to the Walt Disney Concert Hall with the LA Philharmonic. She has worked with pre-eminent composers of the present day, such as Steve Reich and Nico Muhly.
At home in the Netherlands, she performs at major stages, from the Dutch National Opera to the Lowlands Festival.
According to the New York Times, “She produces impeccably turned phrases in a soprano of mountain-stream clarity”. The Recital Hall is the venue of choice, the upstairs hotspot for lovers of chamber music, where you sit so close to the performers that you can hear them breathe. This hall is also a musicians’ favourite for its beautiful acoustics and direct contact with the audience.
