The country's greatest, fastest and largest marathon
Ever since the first international marathon in Rotterdam in 1981, the NN Rotterdam Marathon has had an outstanding reputation and has become the top running event in the Netherlands. Its interesting history includes three world records and attracts world-class athletes from the Netherlands and abroad each year.
Iconic Rotterdam course
The NN Rotterdam Marathon typically welcomes over 950.000 spectators, and the course takes in many famous landmarks in Rotterdam, such as the world-famous Erasmus Bridge and the beautiful Kralingen. The race finishes on the iconic Coolsingel, where spectators can enjoy a unique atmosphere and festive vibe.
On the day before the NN Rotterdam Marathon, other races take place, including a 4,2K race plus two children’s runs.
NN Rotterdam Marathon Schedule
- Kids Run (1K and 2,5K) on April 15
- City Run (4,2K) for beginners on April 15
- Quarter marathon (10,55K) on April 16
- Rotterdam Marathon on April 16
