Parkpop is the largest free pop event in the Netherlands, held annually in June. In 2022, Parkpop celebrates its 40th edition! The festival used to take place at Zuiderpark, but as of 2022, it will be at Malieveld.

A regular event since 1981, this national pop festival has put The Hague on the map in terms of free music festivals on a large scale. For many years, it was even the largest free pop music festival in all of Europe! This year, over 350.000 people are expected to attend the festival.

Parkpop programme

This year’s line-up features UB40 ft. Ali Campbell, DI-RECT, MAAN, Kevin & The Animals, Froukje and Goldband and many more.

What to keep in mind

The Hague's Malieveld welcomes locals, internationals and tourists to enjoy this large-scale music event. The city anticipates a larger volume of people than usual, so to ensure a pleasant and stress-free festival experience, there are a few things to keep in mind.

Food and drink

You are not allowed to bring your own food or drinks to Parkpop. Food or drinks that have been brought in can be seized at the entrance. Refreshments will be for sale at the festival.

Travelling to Parkpop

Due to the very limited availability of parking around the Malieveld, the best way to get to the event is by public transport. The trains to The Hague Central and The Hague Hollands Spoor will allow for extra capacity that day. If you are coming from another part of The Hague, it’s a great idea to cycle to the venue. There will be bicycle parks set up for the event which will be open from 10.30am to 11pm.

Parkpop Friday Night

Start your Parkpop experience a day early. The night before Parkpop, there is an additional event at the Malieveld to kick off the weekend. For this, you'll need to reserve tickets, which can be found on the Parkpop website.
