Brand-new Fine Arts part-time trajectory: Amalgam
The Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK) is delighted to launch their brand-new Fine Arts part-time trajectory: Amalgam, a four-year study programme with participants being awarded a BA Fine Arts diploma. The Amalgam programme is designed for you to bring in your own professional and life experience and merge it with an artistic practice.

Studying at KABK
The bachelor’s and master’s programmes and preparatory year address contemporary issues and are led by a diverse and socially engaged faculty with international practices. Teaching takes the form of small-scale lectures, with a combination of practical and theoretical artistic research. The KABK is an international community and English is the language of communication.

Come and visit the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague KABK during the Open Day at the academy, on November 25. Take a tour through the academy buildings and talk to teachers and students. You will also receive information about the application process, studying in The Hague and tips for your portfolio. In addition, several general information talks will be held.
During the Open Day there are also online Q&A sessions, and you can talk to students, ask questions and hear about their experiences at the KABK and in The Hague. During these sessions, you will be able to ask your practical questions about the application procedure, finance, accommodation, residence permits and everything else you need to know about studying at the KABK.

Master’s degree programmes in art & design and the PhDArts programme
Are you looking for a master’s programme in art & design? The academy offers seven master’s programmes with a strong focus on research. Tutors also conduct research alongside their teaching. The three lectorates, Lectorate Art Theory & Practice, Lectorate Design and their new Lectorate Film, play an important role in nurturing and coordinating research in the curricula.
The Royal Academy of Art (KABK)'s seven master’s programmes last two years, except for Type and Media, which is a one-year programme. After completing a master’s degree, you can consider pursuing a PhDArts trajectory. PhDArts is an international doctorate programme offered in close collaboration with the Academy of Creative and Performing Arts (ACPA) of Leiden University.
