Keeping the Zoo - a live audio sitcom
Come and be part of the live audience for new English-language audio comedy Keeping the Zoo. Enjoy the antics of the zoo staff as they navigate work, friendships and escaped animals!
Keeping the Zoo
Set among the employees and animals of a failing zoo, Keeping the Zoo is a six-part scripted audio sitcom about the meaning of work and the joy of friendships. Produced by Downstage Left, Amsterdam-based makers of English-language theatre, it's full of laughs (and animals!).
Inspired by the American radio serials of the 1940s and 50s, and classic BBC radio comedies like The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and Cabin Pressure, Keeping the Zoo will be recorded before a live audience, with actors and sound effects bringing the story to life.
The six episodes will be released as a podcast into the wider world in 2025, so this is your chance to have your laughs recorded for posterity and to say you were there when it happened!
Recording dates
The sitcom will have six 30-minute episodes in total. Two will be recorded each night, with a recap for those who missed any of the previous episodes. If you want to catch the whole story from beginning to end, a discount is available if you buy tickets for all three nights at once.
- Thursday, October 17: Episodes one and two
- Thursday, October 24: Episodes three and four
