Participating institutions include international NGOs, EU, UN and intergovernmental organisations. There are numerous international organisations which typically offering guided tours, panel discussions, presentations and meet and greet sessions.

The Hague International Open Day goes digital

The event is very different this year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, and also because 2020 marks 75 years since the formation of the United Nations. This special edition lasts five weeks instead of just one day.

For five weeks (between September 20 and October 24), all The Hague institutions that participate in the Hague International Day every year, together with all Just Peace partners, will show how they work daily for peace and justice. They each do this in their own way with a video, a vlog, a quiz, webinar or virtual tour.

Here's the list of participating organisations:

  • Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC) & Specialist Prosecutor's Office (SPO)
  • Europol
  • Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW)
  • International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT)
  • International Criminal Court (ICC)
