The Hague Film Awards has been rebooted as The Hague Film Festival. The live-streamed awards ceremony takes place on Friday and then films are shown on Saturday and Sunday.

The Hague Film Festival goes digital

From October 16-18, 2020, The Hague Film Festival kicks off in The Hague, to present you the best in film and video from local makers, in an online format. With a new name and a new home-base, the annual awards show expands into a film-oriented festival with screenings, music, entertainment and spotlights. 

After the initial date of The Hague Film Festival in spring 2020 got cancelled due to the Covid-19 crisis, it was ready to welcome audiences in an adjusted set-up in autumn. Due to the coronavirus restrictions, The Hague Film Festival will now take place exclusively online.

During the online award ceremony, broadcast live from PIP Den Haag on October 16, The Hague Film Festival will reveal the winners from of a broad selection of local and independent film- and video makers. The Hague Film Festival presents awards in a variety of categories to support local film and videomakers in the fields of cinema, media and journalism.
