Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra and Bram van Sambeek

Together, the solo bassoonist Bram van Sambeek and the mesmerising sounds of the Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra create a spine-tingling sound, with Hummel's Concerto for Bassoon and String Orchestra and Variations of an Arietta by Pergolesi, by the Swiss composer Otmar Nussio.

About prize-winning Dutch bassoonist Bram van Sambeek

Bram Sambeek is one of the leading figures in bassoon, a former winner of the Netherlands Music Prize – in fact the first ever bassoonist to put this prestigious prize to his name. During the 2015-2016 season, he gave concerts as part of the Kindred Spirits series.

Bram van Sambeek is celebrated for his daring approach to repertoire, from the core classical and baroque repertoire to rock and jazz as well as contemporary music by the composers of the present day.
