An evening brimming with Beethoven (Tuesday, July 18, 2023)

Of the five piano concertos Beethoven has written, The Fifth is perhaps the most popular, thanks partly to its evocative nickname Emperor Concerto. After this heroic piano concerto, with Bertrand Chamayou as a soloist, Beethoven's Fourth Symphony sounds remarkably friendly.

The Concertgebouw is taking the seats out of their Main Hall for the Emperor of the Balkans, a lively show of festive Roma music and beautiful ballads, sure to take you on a roller coaster of sensations! Goran Bregović’s music always invites you to dance!

Mozart meets Mambo! (Sunday, August 6, 2023)

“One of my favourite orchestras in the world,” said horn player Sarah Willis about the Cuban Havana Lyceum Orchestra. Together, they play the irresistibly swinging and cheerful programme Mozart y Mambo, which is a mix of Mozart's most beautiful music for horn and orchestra combined with original Cuban music that is full of exciting rhythms.
