Language No Problem at Theater Kikker

Expats, exchange students and foreign theatre lovers can now enjoy a special programme with performances for non-Dutch speakers, performed at Theater Kikker in Utrecht. The introduction evening demonstrates what visitors can expect with the "Language No Problem" performance "Privacy", followed by an interesting discussion with information about future projects.

Language No Problem performances deal with language barriers in various ways. "Privacy" will be Dutch spoken, and English subtitles will be provided. Theater Kikker is the main fringe theatre of Utrecht. Its varied productions, central location and great atmosphere make it a hotspot for local culture lovers.

The evening's programme

Doors open at 7.30pm, and guests will receive a free welcome drink. The performance starts at 8pm, and at 9.30pm the after talk will commence with drinks, and guests can meet other internationals and the director and programmer of Theater Kikker.

About "Privacy"

Performers Ward and Wine are a couple in real life, and in Privacy they test the boundaries of shame and intimacy while contemplating the usefulness of masks and secrets on stage.

When does the intimate lose its mysticism and eroticism? Giving the audience a view into their own daily lives, unmade bed and open wardrobe and all, the actors tease the boundaries between the private and the public.

Please note: Ticket competition winners are announced on the closing date. Each winner will receive one double ticket. Remember to check this page or your IamExpat inbox to see if you've been selected!
