About the Tong Tong Fair

Taking place in The Hague since 1959, the Tong Tong Fair is a 12-day celebration of Indonesian and Southeast Asian cultures.

The largest Eurasian Fair in the world, it is held annually in an mix of tents and outdoor spaces lined with stalls selling delicious Indonesian food, clothing and bright-coloured fabrics, hard-to-find cooking utensils, furniture and much more! 

Along with the Grand Pasar market place, there are also sections dedicated to learning about Indies Eurasian identities and history.

Tong Tong Festival

The main event of the Tong Tong Fair is the Tong Tong Festival. 

Over the course of 12 days, hundreds of artists and creative talents from Indonesia and the Eurasian diaspora assemble in The Hague for a showcase of Southeast Asian cultural performances.

From haute couture fashion to comedic dance to puppet shows, the variety of the festival emphasises the rich heritage and diversity found in the multitude of Southeast Asian traditions.
