Unseen Photo Fair will be held from September 18 to  20, and the Unseen Festival will continue until September 27. The Fair and Festival are an extensive happening in Amsterdam full of exhibitions, activities and projects. Have a look at what the tickets will grant you access to:

Unseen Photo Fair

Unseen Photo Fair brings together 54 international galleries presenting the most recent developments in contemporary photography. Dedicated to embracing emerging talent and unseen work by established artists, Unseen presents more than 70 world premieres of photographic works.

Unseen Photo Fair highlights

Various on-site activities will take place during Unseen Photo Fair from Friday, September 18 to Sunday, September 20. Highlights include:

  • Friday, September 18

The winner of the Unseen Dummy Award 2015 will be announced at the Unseen Book Market.

  • Saturday, September 19

Unseen visitors can witness the making of a photo book with Self Publish, Be Happy. For 24 hours, ten artists will respond to each other’s work across three continents with the goal of producing one collective publication.

  • Friday and Saturday, September 18 - 19

Newly introduced this year are the Artist Recipes, an on-site dining experience where various chosen artists will determine the menu for the evening in connection to their work. The dinners will be organised at the WestergasTerras.

The Unseen Festival

For the first time in 2015, Unseen introduces the Unseen Festival; an extended 10-day festival programme in the city that celebrates photography in all its forms.

Capturing the city of Amsterdam

The extended Unseen Festival will take place at more than 38 locations throughout the city of Amsterdam. The programme consists of four different themes:

  • Hidden Treasures
  • Open Doors
  • Cultural Institutions
  • The Neighbourhood Project

Cultural institutions are joining in

Unseen collaborates with many of the city’s institutions, academies, artists, and initiatives using photography in innovative and unconventional ways to create a programme that is sure to challenge, excite and inspire.

Must-see exhibitions include:

  • An exhibition at the Herengracht office of the ING Bank
  • The World Press Photo office exhibition
