Beacon Financial Education: Financial awareness taken to the next level

Beacon Financial Education has been hosting their Financial Awareness Seminars throughout the Netherlands for quite some time now.

The free, no-obligation events are aimed at helping expatriates - no matter where they live or where they come from - find their way in the sometimes complicated and challenging world of expat finances. They have provided hundreds of internationals with information to make solid and well-informed financial planning decisions. Delivering a global message that Financial Education is vital for everyone who wants to achieve their financial destiny.

The next level

The initial set of seminars was aimed at offering a fundamental knowledge and understanding of all financial challenges an expat may encounter whilst living and/or working abroad. It is now time to take the seminars to the next level.

In their new fall schedule, Beacon Financial Education introduces two new seminars that will teach internationals about the financial implications of being an expat and how to invest as an expat for maximum financial health.

For expats interested in learning more about in-depth investment options, the importance of investment diversification and portfolio management, the new fall schedule includes a more sophisticated seminar.

This seminar is specially designed for the expat who is looking for means to create a savings and investment portfolio that will enable them to achieve their future financial goals, whether it is college funding for their child/children, buying property or saving for retirement.

For American expats: Understanding the implications of US FATCA

In addition, they will host a seminar aimed at American Expats and people living in the Netherlands that have a US Nexus, discussing the implications of the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act, also known as US FATCA. This federal requirement for all United States citizens living abroad is often overlooked or dismissed by this group of expats as it is still misunderstood.

However, since its inception in 2010, this federal law has been the basis of ongoing headaches for Americans living abroad. The seminar covers information about this regulation, what the law implies for Americans living overseas, what the IRS requires from Americans, and what they - and their financial advisers - have to take into account when filing their tax reports.

Beacon Financial Education continues to co-host events with their preferred partner in the Netherlands, Blacktower Financial Management, and their team looks forward to meeting you (again) this fall for one or more of their financial education seminars:
