Business.gov.nl is the official government website for non-Dutch speaking entrepreneurs, who want to do business with or in the Netherlands. Business.gov.nl is the English-language counterpart of Ondernemersplein.nl.
The mission of Business.gov.nl
Commissioned by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Kingdom Relations, Business.gov.nl focuses primarily on providing information to foreign nationals from EU member states and secondly on non-Dutch nationals from every other country, resident or non-resident.
Business.gov.nl is a great resource for general and sectoral information from the Dutch government and semi-governmental organisations: from starting your own business in the Netherlands to getting a VISA and/or a work permit, and from legal structures for your company to how the Dutch tax system works.
You can also check this site to see which Dutch or European subsidies you may be eligible for.
Both Business.gov.nl and Ondernemersplein.nl provide a single unified answer from the Dutch public sector about doing business in the Netherlands. Partners of Business.gov.nl include:
- Statistics Netherlands
- Dutch Tax and Customs Administration
- Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO)
- Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KvK)
- Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND)
