[VIDEO] TomTom sells police user data

TomTom, the Dutch manufacturer or navigation systems, sells police user location and speed data according to NOS.

Data is anonymous and motorists will eventually benefit as Dutch police will be able to determine where speed limits can be increased and where they are violated, says TomTom.

According to Elsevier, half of the police uses TomTom data (i.e. drivers' behaviour), a fact that many users are not aware of.

Also note that the quarterly figures of the leading manufacturer of navigation systems in Europe are worse than expected.
