Dutch economy in far better shape

According to Statistics Netherlands’ economic monitor (quarterly indicators), the Dutch economy shows signs of recovery and more specifically, growth by 2,4 percent (1,8 percent) in the fourth quarter compared to the same period in 2009 (the third quarter).

Compared to same period last year, the local economy grew in:
 Gross domestic product by 0,6 percent
 Exports by 11,3 percent
 Imports by 10,7 percent
 Household consumption by 1,5 percent
 Production of goods by 3,1 percent
 Total fixed capital formation by 0,5 percent (first time in last two years) 

In 2010, the Dutch economy grew by 1,7 percent in total.
