For the Holiday Inn Express Rotterdam we are looking for an Assistant Front Office Manager fulltime per direct.

Job description

The assistant Front Office (FO) Manager is the flying keep in the FO. You motivate and support your collegues, ensure all reservations and all arrivals are handled with the biggest smile. Besides, you take care of administrative tasks of the FO. You take full responsibility for the FO deparment in absence of the FO Manager.

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Supporting, managing , motivating and training of employees
  • Frame, optmise and ensure work-and quality procedures, as well as executing periodic controls of this
  • Taking care of realising the budgetted results/occupancy percentages of the hotel by applying (and optimisation) of up- and crossselling
  • Executing of the total Human Resource processes as:
  • Creating schedules
  • Taking care of an optimal staffing in the FO
  • Recruitment, selection, interviewing and introduction of new employees
  • Executing performance interviews
  • Training and guidence of employees
  • Being end-responsible for, and timely and correctly inserting and processing of all reservations
  • Being end-responsible for the correct use of the reservation systems

Requirements:

  • HBO education in hospitality industry
  • Minimal 4 years of relevant workexperience within the hospitality industry, where of 2 years in a managing/supervising role
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • You have your own transportation or can reach the hotel 24/7 (you are able to travel before 7:00 and after 23:00, on weekdays, weekends and during holidays.)
  • Preferably you have experience with the ONQ or Brilliant System

On 24th April 2013 the hotel Holiday Inn Express Rotterdam - Central Station was opened. The hotel is located in the heart of Rotterdam, right next to the shopping and entertainment area in the city centre. Within 500 meters from Central Station of Rotterdam you are at the accommodation. In addition, the hotel has a soundproofed lobby and soundproofed rooms, so that there is no problem with the busy crossroads next to it. In total, the hotel has 214 rooms and there is the possibility to work out. With the right attitude, growth within our hotels it is in everyone's reach.
