Our international client, a world leading organisation in the IT/Software market, is now hiring a Regional IT Specialist (temporary contract) to be based in Schiphol-Rijk.
Our client, a Fortune 500 listed tech company, is at the forefront of a multitude of technologies from cloud-based storage and enterprise applications, network solutions, to the latest in client security. This role would be ideal for a part-time or post-graduate IT\Computer Science student who would appreciate the experience of working in a corporate environment whilst having the time to pursue further education opportunities. A large part of the role will be interacting with other teams based in London, Munich, and Amsterdam. There will also be opportunities to travel to various sites across the EMEA region.
As a Regional IT Specialist, you are responsible for supporting the technical infrastructure and services for the company’s employees in the EMEA region. You provide support for our selection of Mac and Lenovo laptops using the latest versions of macOS and Windows 10, with the standard Apple iPhone and a wide variety of business applications such as SAP or Oracle is also at the cutting edge of Microsoft 365 Enterprise deployment, partnering with Microsoft to both test and improve their offerings. This is a business-facing role where your skills at maintaining and developing relationships with internal colleagues are crucial. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build interpersonal and technical skills as you contribute directly to the organization’s success.
Job Profile for Regional IT Specialist
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment
  • Provide technical support for Windows 10 and macOS system
  • Oversee the daily performance of computer systems using a variety of tools and dashboards
  • Set up and order equipment for employee use. Maintain relationships with local supplier and gain experience with procurement process
  • Utilize enterprise-tailored version of ServiceNow for tracking of all tasks using the principles of an ITIL approach
  • Attend a variety of online trainings with completion confirmations
  • Confer with users and business via numerous collaborative tools to identify issues or process improvements, provide technical assistance and support. Deign and work on process improvement
  • Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications
  • Potentially develop your own training materials and procedures after peer review
  • Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for services
  • Prepare evaluations of software or hardware as art of global projects and recommend improvement or upgrades
  • Provide user training and education
  • Contribute to the team projects
Candidate Profile Regional IT Specialist
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Able to work collaboratively with other IT Regional Specialists and cross-functional technical team members to support deadlines; able to work independently as well
  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them in a customer-facing environment
  • Creative approach to problem solving
  • Able to handle multiple tasks concurrently with competing deadlines
  • Able to travel to company sites for installations, troubleshooting, user training, and relationship management
  • Able to maintain records for assets and orders
  • Punctuality is a must
