Junior Logistics Specialist | English

You are going to report to the Logistic & Repair Supervisor.
The Summary of the job would be :

• Managing traffic and carriers
• Ensuring compliance with global import/export regulations
• Overseeing inventory management for ELC
• Assessing carrier rates, making selections, and tracking performance
• Analyzing and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for third-party logistics (3PL) suppliers

You are going to be responsible for :

• Facilitating effective communication with and managing the logistics expectations of both internal and external customers.
• Serving as the company's primary contact for resolving freight-related issues, such as damage/loss claims and import/export clearance matters.
• Utilizing the planning tool DEMS to manage demonstration (DEMO) stock effectively.
• Creating, implementing, and maintaining tools to provide order entry and sales teams with freight cost estimates and transit time predictions.
• Ensuring inventory accuracy by conducting daily cycle counts and investigating discrepancies to provide resolutions.
• Assisting with asset recovery efforts.
• Supporting the receiving and shipping team during peak periods.
• Handling freight cost quotes for large shipments.
• Collaborating closely with various departments within the organization, including Sales, Finance, Engineering, and Supply Chain, to address freight and shipping challenges.
• Performing warehouse tasks as required.

Requirements:

Here are the requirements :

• Excellent command in English ( both Speaking and Writing)
• Experiences in Logistics role are highly prefferable
• Knowledge of System Breakdowns and Hierarchical Structure Code (HSC)
• Excellent communication and written skills.
• Computer Literate is a must.

Ideally the role is for someone who lives in Amsterdam. And if you are outside of Amsterdam, ideally if you have a car.

Salary Benefits:

• This is a long term and full time position directly with our client
• The salary is between €2.400 - €2.900 per month gross, based on full time (40 hours per week). The salary is depending on work experience and education. 
• Commuting allowance covered, only for days worked in the office
• You may work from home max. one day after 3 months training.
• The first contract will be a 7 months contract directly with our client - with an intention for a long term
• 27 holidays per year
