Would you like to be a part of a truly sustainable company? Our client is looking for a GL Accountant for their newly built Shared Service Center in the Netherlands.

The role of the GL Accountant entails:

  • setting up and improving the processes of the GL team
  • month end activities and month end journal entries for assigned entities and timely reconciliation of all GL accounts;
  • assisting in calculating cost center re-allocations and intercompany recharges;
  • ensuring consistency and completeness of data transfers between sub-ledgers and General Ledger and you are responsible for completeness and correctness of entries in the books;
  • ensuring that all balance sheet reconciliations are correctly executed in a timely manner. You manage fixed asset process and related controls and reconciliations;
  • responsible for local statutory accounting, perform reviews and provide feedback on the reporting packages submitted by accountants from other locations and coordination with outsourcing partners.

What are we looking for:

  • Bachelor/Master in economics, finance and/or accounting;
  • +6 years experience in bookkeeping;
  • Good level of German or French language and working proficiency in English
  • Preferably you have already worked in a Shared Service Center;
  • extensive ERP system experience (preferably SAP) and advanced Excel skills;
  • Eligible to work in the NL
  • You have a highly flexible attitude, and enjoy driving change and efficiency.
