Introduction to Art History course

This course offers a broad insight to the history of Western art. During a series of ten lectures complemented by an excursion to a museum, a chronological overview of the most important movements in the history of art will be presented. The tutor will teach the students how to analyse and compare art.

By the end of the course, students will be able to easily identify different styles and periods. The lectures will furthermore focus on the defining features of a particular style. Considerable attention will be devoted to individual artists and their work.
