Cheaper housing in Amsterdam

The price for buying a house / apartment in Amsterdam has declined during the first quarter of 2011 compared to the last of 2010.
According to the quarterly report from the largest Dutch association of estate agents and property experts, NVM:
› The average price for a house in Amsterdam is 242.000 euros, a decline of approximately 3 percent.
› The average price for an apartment in Amsterdam declined to 224.000 euros, almost 6.000 euros less than at the end of 2010.
› The price for a house on the countryside declined 1 percent to an average of 227.000 euros.
