House prices drop further & faster

The price index of residential properties reveals that prices of houses in the Netherlands drop further and faster.
Insights
› Prices of owner-occupied houses in January 2011 (December 2010) were on average 1,1 (0,8) percent lower than in January 2010 (December 2009).
› In January 2011 (December 2010), prices of residential properties dropped by 0,2 percent relative to December (November) 2010.
› The number of sold dwellings increased (9 percent) relative to January 2009.
› Prices of terraced houses dropped most (1,8 percent).
› All dwellings were cheaper in January 2011 than one year ago.
› Prices dropped in all provinces except North Holland (1,3 percent increase) and Gelderland (stable).
