28 November 2013, 8pm
Suzanne Lacy is a famous Californian artist and activist. As well as gaining international recognition for her art installations and performances, Lacy has also written extensively about social and urban issues.
She recently gathered hundreds of women over the age of sixty to have a dialogue in The Tanks at Tate Modern about their role in activist movements.
At this talk she will be discussing her experience as an artist and educator, and addressing various prominent issues in modern society.
The Knight's Move is a series of lectures given by innovative and unusual international figures. All of the talks in the series address community and urban issues.
The title "The Knight's Move" is inspired by the atypical behaviour of the knight on the chessboard.
