The Hague African Festival returns to Het Plein for its sixth edition to offer visitors a diverse programme showcasing the rich culture of Africa and the diaspora.

A highlight on The Hague's cultural calendar, the festival presents a mix of African-influenced and inspired art, fashion, dance, music and food.

The event is family friendly and features an open-air market, stage and performances that feed off the wonderful atmosphere of the visitors.

This year, the event has expanded by adding an evening with the critically acclaimed Malian songstress Fatoumata Diawara at the Dr. Anton Philipszaal.

Other featured artists include musician Abdoulaye "Oké" Sène from Senegal, singer/dancer Dobet Gnahoré and the Congolese band Wasifu!
