August 28, 2013 marked 100 years of The Hague’s iconic Peace Palace.
In celebration of the Peace Palace’s centennial, a variety of activities will take place from August 28 through September 21, 2013.
To raise awareness for international peace, variety of fun events including exhibitions, lectures, concerts and more will take place at The Peace Palace and other locations throughout The Hague.
The general public is invited to discover the beautiful gardens of the Peace Palace! A unique series of live concerts are scheduled to take place in the Peace Palace’s garden, September 14 - 21, 2013.
Peace One Day
The grand finale on Saturday, September 21, 2013 takes place place in conjunction with Peace One Day, an international initiative calling for peace around the world.
The Peace One Day Celebration concert will host celebrity guests including the Peace One Day founder Jeremy Gilley and ambassador Jude Law, along with exciting performances by international artists!

About the Peace Palace
The Peace Palace in The Hague is an international icon of peace and justice. Construction began in 1907, with countries around the world donating building materials.
The building was finally completed six years later on August 28, 1913 and today houses the International Court of Justice (central body of the United Nations), the Permanent Court of Arbitration and the Hague Academy of International Law.
