Blown Away Festival 2013Festivals / Rotterdam
Blown Away is an interdisciplinary festival which pushes the traditional boundaries of art, music and food.
During the past few months, hundreds of individuals have been working on special installations, sculptures, interactive experiences and even "guerrilla kitchens." These exciting projects will all be on show and up for discussion at Blown Away.
This festival also has a big project for the public to get involved with. Have you ever wanted to design the next Eye Museum? Think you could make a better version of the Kunsthal?
Then the festival's special Container Challenge could be for you. This contest is designed for all those creative types who "think outside of the box."
The competition winner will be given a prize of 500 euros, plus a separate grant to realise their project.
Following the festival, organisers will be throwing a wild after-party at the former post office Perron. This will keep guests dancing until the early hours with a mix of electronic, house and bass music.
