Exhibitions / Rotterdam26 January - 21 July, Tuesday - Sunday, 11am - 5pm
For nearly six months, Rotterdam’s Museum Boijmans van Beuningen will feature a special series of etchings by Spanish painter Francisco Goya (1746 - 1828).
"Disasters of War" includes 80 etchings printed from original copper plates made by Goya between 1810 - 1820.
The series showcase commentary on the Peninsular War (1808 - 1814) and the army's mistreatment of Spanish civilians, a dangerous stance to take during Goya’s time.
