'The White Forest with the Forgotten People' Premier at de Brakke GrondTheater / Amsterdam
31 January - 01 February, 8.30pm
Stefan Jakiela will be premiering his new installative performance, "The White Forest with the Forgotten People", at de Brakke Grond.
About "The White Forest with the Forgotten People"
Conceived and directed by Jakiela, "The White Forest with the Forgotten People" is an installative and visually intensive performance that focuses on humanity, the drive to seek freedom and the the struggles encountered along the way.
The piece is named for the white forest in which the story is set. Microcosmically, the performance attempts to create a universe where time is relative and people can act without conventional social restrictions.
Studying the human urge to act, create and undertake, the white forest is transformed into a universe without awareness where colour and shape play important roles.
