The World Rowing Championships will be taking place on the Bosbaan in the Amsterdamse Bos at the end of August, featuring the best rowers from around the world and plenty of side activities for spectators!
World Rowing Championships for the whole family
The World Rowing Championships are a festive event with many activities planned besides the rowing events.
Along with the 27 competitive events featuring over 1.000 athletes from 60 countries, there are also a myriad of things to do for spectators including the exciting Aegon Fanzone, practice areas to try rowing yourself and a multitude of food tracks to snack your way through the day.
Furthermore, the races are actually very exciting, requiring not only a high degree of athleticism, but also a bit of strategy and tactical precision.
Tip: Don't miss the opening ceremony on August 23 on Museumplein.
Inspired by the Beijing Olympics, the kick-off event will feature choreography and spectacular theatrics with the Rijksmuseum as the backdrop!
