Viva Las Vega's Food FestivalFestivals / Amsterdam
29 June 2014, 11am - 10pm
Already in their fourth edition, the Viva Las Vega's Food Festival will be showing audiences the best and most delicious parts of the vegetarian lifestyle!
Viva Las Vega's & vegetarianism
Quite a young organisation, the team behind the Viva Las Vega's Food Festival is committed to highlighting the benefits of a vegetarian diet for both the individual and the environment.
The goal of their events and initiatives is to promote, in a positive and creative manner, how delicious, sustainable and animal-friendly the vegetarian lifestyle is.
Along with the food festival, the group is also responsible for the VeganChallenge, an invitation to attempt eating only vegetarian food for 30 days, and the VegaMap, a map of all the best vegetarian restaurants and shops around Amsterdam.
About the Viva Las Vega's Food Festival
The food festival is more than just a collection of stands selling samples.
Instead, the Viva Las Vega's team uses this opportunity to teach visitors about the rich variety and reasons for becoming vegetarian, vegan or flexitarian.
Along with cooking classes and workshops, the group also organises presentations and films that, while entertaining, are also informative.
› Entrance to the event is free.
› Food and some workshops will have a fee.
› Tickets for workshops (available from June 1) can be found here.
