Drongo Festival 2014Festivals / Amsterdam
27 September, 10am - 5pm
Pay a visit to the OBA in Amsterdam during the Drongo Festival to celebrate and learn about the multilingualism and how to enrich your life through language learning!
Multilingualism during Drongo
This year, the overarching theme of Drongo is "Languages for your future" and seeks to engage visitors on how important and fun learning a new language can be.
Along with reading relays and workshops for children, Drongo also keeps the older entertained through presentations and demonstrations regarding tips in language learning, crash courses in a variety of languages (Arabic and Chinese included!), theatre performances and a language fair composed of institutions who support the learning of other cultures through language.
An initiative of De Taalstudio, the festival is a relaxed introduction to the world of language schools, institutes and techniques for those who seek to become bilingual or encourage their children to learn a second language.
Notable institutions will also be present with informative stands including the British Council, EarlyBird, Gemeente Amsterdam en Taal and Chinese School among others.
