A night of discovery
Founded in 2006, the goal of the Discovery Festival has always been to make people curious; about science, art, and good music... all in the company of fellow pondering minds!
Growing from a small network of friends and artists, the festival is now in its ninth edition and part of the wider, month long Beyond Biennale.
On the Discovery Festival Night, the complex of the Tolhuistuin will be taken over by unconventional methods and people demonstrating various interdisciplinary artworks and experiments that are not only conceptually interesting, but also teach visitors something new.
Included will be the Facereader Experiment to see if a computer to determine your true emotions, the daring re-conception of body-sonic interaction in Omnimous, a mirror created by bacteria in Living Mirror and brain scans to see if love can be a quantified in Measuring Love!
