Neurons Firing at de Brakke GrondExhibitions / Amsterdam
13 December - 19 January, 9am - 6pm
In coordination with the wider programme, The Brainstorm Sessions, the exposition Neurons Firing explores the intersection of science and visual art as it relates to the brain.
Considering the recent advancements in neural technology and that scientists are now able to unfold the mind of the individual, this exhibition seeks to use this neural imaging as a point of investigation into how the visual arts have been responding to such developments.
Neurons Firing forms a gateway through which the visitor can consider the relationship between the mind considered as a philosophical element and the reality of how our thoughts, internal desires and intimate psychologies are being mapped, processed and transformed into data that is subject to analysis.
