y father (Dutch) is currently living in France and my mother was an expatriate manager with a large international company for most of her career. I’ve been surrounded by stories of amazement, woe and of success of those who have left their home country to make a new life somewhere else. After my MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management Science, I worked for a product development department of Philips for several years. I led projects on inventory reduction, lead time reduction, leadership development, and internal and external communication. Subsequently I have been working as a management trainer and consultant with clients including Philips, Sioux, OTB Display, TNO and the Technical University. And for some reason, the participants of my workshop are mostly international professionals.
